Coming 2 America

Coming 2 America starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall

Coming 2 America movie poster

I usually don't watch sequels that are made more than 10 years after the original, but with Eddie Murphy I usually make exceptions. Also, the original Coming to America is still one of my favorite movies. So, of course, I had to check this new one out as well. And it was everything I could have hoped for and a whole lot more.
The new movie is not great acting or a compelling storyline. It's just exactly what I expected. I get to revisit characters I fell in love with 30 years ago, and get a peek into what is happening with them now and what has taken place since I last saw them.
I was so happy when I finished watching and I am always glad anytime I get to see James Earl Jones or John Amos acting in anything. If you saw the original, chances are you are going to like this one too. It seems familiar and has a lot of tie-ins to the original movie. Just keep an eye out for all the cameos because they are part of the movie's charm. Thank you Eddie Murphy for entertaining me and my friends for all these years!
