As the country returns to normal, AEW is beginning to performing on the road in front of live audiences again during July.  July 7th: Miami, FL July 14th: Austin, TX July 21st: Dallas, TX July 28th: Charlotte, NC  I, for one, can't wait until AEW makes its way out to the West Coast!

 It's officially WrestleCon 2022! And I am excited for all the wrestling action I will be checking out from Thursday, March 31st thru Sunday, April 2nd. The schedule included is from Fite TV. Coda! What a beautiful and entertaining movie. This would be my front runner to win the Oscar this weekend. It's one of those rare movies that make you laugh, make you cry, make you think, and make you feel. The soundtrack is awesome!  I will be looking to learn more about the deaf community because I watched this film

A very good movie to reintroduce myself to movie theaters after 16 months away.   

I am mesmerized by this song. I had never heard of Mongolian music, but this band, the Hu, made me a fan. Hypnotic chanting and great music!

This is my go-to comfort movie. I find the comedy to be hilarious. Andy Samberg is comedy gold. 

I just finished the first season of Made for Love. I like it so far, and Ray Romano is fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing where this story heads for season 2. 

I watched Kimi the other day, mainly due to the critical reviews on rotten tomatoes. Unfortunately, the movie doesn't match the reviews. It was ok, Zoe Kravitz is a good actress, but it just seemed like there wasn't enough substance for me. I was a bit confused and I just kept getting lost in the story. I feel like it needed to be about 20-30 minutes longer to explain some of those missing pieces. 

A circus without animals...Amazing!

I enjoy movie posters. It's one of the rare items in marketing I actually know works on me. Captain Fantastic is a movie I may not have watched had I not been intrigued by the poster.

U2 is still one of my favorite bands. And this is one of my favorite songs. Bono's vocals on this song are amazing. With or without!

According to Kevin Nash's Instagram , Scott Hall is being removed from life support. Scott Hall was a major part of the Monday night wrestling wars. He, along with Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan, changed the landscape for professional wrestling. We all rooted for the Wolfpac. And we all secretly wished we could be as cool as Scott Hall!  RIP Scott Hall. Bad times don't last, Bad Guys do!

This song always reminds me of my son. He lives in Utah and I don't see him enough. I miss him sometimes but I am so proud of the man he has become. As a parent, we should only want our children to become better people than we are. And my son has become smart, better, and a more well-rounded person than I ever could become. 

AEW Revolution was last Sunday and we were treated to the best in the world returning to his ROH (Ring of Honor) roots. Needless to say, it caught all of us off guard! 

I always liked this song. It's such an 80s vibe.

This artist, Dave Hause, will always be important to me because he was the last live performance I saw pre-pandemic. 2 weeks later the whole world closed and my only experience with live music was via YouTube. Dave Hause is performing tonight in San Diego and the world has come full circle. 

This movie looks like a fun ride (pun intended) I was entertained by the trailer and the Bullet Train movie ensemble cast looks amazing. This is another movie I am looking forward to seeing this summer.

It's raining in San Diego and I felt like listening to some feel-good music. And INXS is what I chose. This is one of my unsung go-to songs whenever I feel nostalgic for the 80s vibe. Enjoy!

One of my favorite songs. I miss traveling! 

 I just found out on April 1st I will be eligible for my first vaccination for Covid-19. And I couldn't be happier. This means I will probably be able to visit my son in Utah for his birthday. And we get to catch up on all the celebrations we had to miss due to staying at home trying to stop the spread of this deadly disease. I am excited as I miss traveling, I miss my son, and I also miss any sense of normalcy. And I feel like getting the vaccine will put me a step closer to doing all 3! Gov. Gavin Newsom's tweet UPDATE: I now have been vaccinated 3 times and am expecting to get my 4th in April. I have a few more trips scheduled (pending with rising gas prices) so I am excited for that as well. 

Some stupid ass decided to mansplain stuff to me. I don't appreciate unsolicited advice. And it put me in a bad way for several hours. But after I shook it off, I am totally rallying. 

The last blockbuster movie poster If you are like me and grew up in the 80s and 90s, you for sure went to a video store. You walked down the aisles, you read the video covers and you decided on which movie was going to entertain you for the night or the weekend. Some of the movies were great, others not so much. But it was a form of entertainment that has gone away due to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime.  But one Blockbuster still remains in the town of Bend, Oregon, and this documentary talks all about it. From the opening frame, I was taken back to a time when I was a young and broke teen that craved something for entertainment. I can remember the layout of my local blockbuster and the smells and the sounds. It was always fun walking up and down the aisles stalking the perfect movie for the night. And this movie was able to capture that feeling.   So if grew up in the time before streaming movies, you will enjoy the nostalgia of visiting the last blockbuster. And if

Faith No More is one of my all-time favorite bands. I have been fortunate enough to have seen them perform live about a half dozen times. Seeing faith No More live truly doesn't disappoint. I can't wait until the next time I see them in concert. 

When I was a young teenager, The New Breed came on to the tag team wrestling scene in NWA-Mid Atlantic . Back to the Future had just come out and this team of villains was claiming to be from the year 2002. According to their promos and interviews about 2002, Dusty Rhodes was the president and humanlike robots were part of the normal world.  And the New Breed were sent back in time to save tag team wrestling. It was corny but a young teen like me ate this up. I wanted to see them wrestle and save tag team wrestling. From what, I had no idea, but I was sucked into the story.  Unfortunately, the new breed was involved in a car accident and the tag team was soon no more. But I often wonder about what would have been with the "future" of Sean Royal and Chris Champion, The New Breed!

The trailer for Marvel Studios Eternals was released. And as good as it is, I think the poster is even better. 

It's Gonna Rain All Day- Dan Andriano In The Emergency We don't get a lot of rain here in southern California, but when we do it usually comes in waves of storms. And it typically rains all day. This makes me miss the weather changes from growing up on the east coast. I never liked the extreme season changes back east but I always loved the springtime rains because it meant we were getting close to my birthday and to summertime. And summer meant cookouts and beach trips as well as the flowers blooming.  I mean we get spring/summer all year in San Diego but nothing really beats an east coast spring. So while I am thankful I live in California I truly am thankful I had an East Coast upbringing

Coming 2 America starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall Coming 2 America movie poster I usually don't watch sequels that are made more than 10 years after the original, but with Eddie Murphy I usually make exceptions. Also, the original Coming to America is still one of my favorite movies. So, of course, I had to check this new one out as well. And it was everything I could have hoped for and a whole lot more.  The new movie is not great acting or a compelling storyline. It's just exactly what I expected. I get to revisit characters I fell in love with 30 years ago, and get a peek into what is happening with them now and what has taken place since I last saw them.  I was so happy when I finished watching and I am always glad anytime I get to see James Earl Jones or John Amos acting in anything. Become a Data Analyst I have a bunch of free time lately since Covid-19. I don't go anywhere and I am trying not to sit and watch Netflix all day. So I decided I need to learn new skills to work on changing careers. I have taken plenty of career skills tests and combed the internet looking for something that works well with my transferable skills from my previous career in optical management. I decided on learning Data analytics and found this great training pathway on LinkedIn.  I am about 2 hours into this 24-hour training pathway and I am completely immersed in this exciting field. It has videos, slide decks, examples problems, a glossary of commonly used jargon, and quizzes to check your knowledge. And it is completely self-paced, which I truly enjoy. I am hoping this leads to gaining skills to pivot into a new career but if not, I will at least learn new skills that are necessary for today's data-heavy job market.

An amazing movie! NO SPOILERS! I saw the Batman last night and it is my favorite Batman movie. It felt like I was literally flipping the pages of a comic book. I am a huge fan of detective noir so this was a perfect style and pacing for me. And the 3-hour runtime shouldn't be a discouragement. This movie flew by. 

This is from when grunge was in its infancy and these two singers really showed everyone how good they could really be.  Seattle must have been a fun place to see live music in the late 80s early 90s.  RIP Chris Cornell

This scene almost always makes me laugh out loud! It's silly and ridiculous and everything you'd want from a comedy movie. Fist Fight as a movie is just OK but this is by far the best scene in the whole movie.

I want to watch more of this. Skate life was tough in the 80s and 90s. Kudos to all who were able to make it through
